SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah ski team's strong academic reputation continues to be upheld in the fall semester, with 19 student-athletes from the ski team making the honor roll. Of those, 14 made the Dean's List.
On the men's team, Rob Gushiken, Ryan Quinn, Petter Svendsen and Scott Woodland each earned at least a 3.5 GPA to land on the Dean's List. Jernej Bukovec, Torin Koos, Pierre Olsson and Zack Simons earned their spots on the honor roll.
Returning Ute skiers: Danielle Bird, Annik Boulva, Gretchen Domek, April Mancuso and Petra Svet earned top marks in the classroom and made the Dean's List. Newcomers: Jaana Kettunen, Anna Sprague, Elisha Stephens, Jana Suchtova and Sara Svendsen also made Dean's List honors. Junior Maria Lundamo made the honor roll.
Overall, the average GPA for the men's team was 3.02, while the women's team earned an average of 3.46
