Upcoming Event: Skiing at 10K Classic (I) on January 4, 2026

THIS WEEK: The University of Utah ski team will compete in the New Mexico Invitational this weekend, Feb. 9-10. The Alpine events will be held in Santa Fe, with the cross country competition being held in Red River. Friday will feature the alpine giant slalom and the cross country freestyle. The slalom and the cross country classical competitions will wrap up the invite on Saturday.
LAST WEEK: Utah was last in competition at the Colorado Invitational held Jan. 26-27. The Utes posted a second place finish between hosting Colorado University. Petter Svendsen was named "Skier of the Week" for men's nordic competition at the invite. Svendsen placed second in the freestyle and third in the classical competition to earn honors. Patrick Casey and Torin Koos also provided the Utes with valuable points in the nordic competition. Kristina Joder gave the Utes their best results in the women's cross country with a third and sixth place finish.
Scott Woodland, Jernej Bukovec, and Jed Schuetze each earned podium honors in the alpine events, while April Mancuso, Danielle Bird and Annik Boulva contributed top-ten performances for the Utes.
NEXT WEEK: The Utes will be taking place in a community service project on Tuesday, Feb. 13. They will be teaching the fundamentals of skiing to children. The project will take place from 2:00-3:30 p.m at the Mountain Dell golf course.
