Upcoming Event: Skiing at 10K Classic (I) on January 4, 2026

THIS WEEK: The University of Utah ski team will travel to Colorado this weekend to compete at the Western State Invitational Feb. 23-24. The Alpine competition will take place at Breckenridge, while the cross country events will be at the Frisco Nordic Center. Friday will feature the giant slalom and the 5/10 km. classical nordic events. The slalom and the 15/20 km. freestyle events will wrap up the competition on Saturday.
LAST WEEK: The Utes are coming off a week's rest after winning the New Mexico Invitational Feb. 9-10. The Utes led the way with 377.5 points, followed by Denver with 364 and COlorado with 357. The men's alpine team pulled off a sweep, finishing in the top four positions of the slalom event. The Utes also swept RMISA skier of the week honors. Jernej Bukovec, Petra Svet, Ryan Quinn and Lene Pedersen earned the honors for Utah.
COMING UP: The Western State invite is the final competition for the Utes before the NCAA Skiing Championships that will be held Mar. 7-10 in Middlebury, Vt.
