Swimming Heads To UNLV For Dual Competition

THIS WEEK:
The Utah men's and women's swimming team will travel to UNLV on Friday, to take on the Rebels in conference competition. The meet will begin at 4:00 p.m. at Buchanan Natatorium. Utah's divers will host UNLV at 5:00p.m. at Ute Natatorium.
RECENT RESULTS:
Utah's women's team faced Oregon State last Friday and Saturday in Salt Lake City. The Utes beat the Beavers 120-101 Friday. Utah won eight of 13 events. Heidi Hausknecht and Kristen Kaiser won two events each and joined together with Sarah Norton and Erin Blundell to win the 400 free relay (3:31.67). Hausknecht won the 50 free (24.06) and 100 free (52.51), while Kaiser claimed the 1000 free (10:19.65) and 500 free (5:07.45).
On Saturday, the Beavers returned the favor, beating the Utes 153-126. Both teams won eight of the 16 individual events. Hauskencht once again won two events, taking the 50 free (24.66) and the 100 fly (57.15). Blundell won the 200 fly (2:08.20) and took second in the 100 fly (57.71).
Utah women are now 1-2 in dual competition. The men, 0-1, return to competition this week against UNLV.
COMING UP:
Utah will travel to the U.S. Open in Auburn, Ala., Nov. 30 through Dec. 2.
