THIS WEEK: The Utah Swimming and Diving team opens Conference competition against Brigham Young on Friday in Provo.
PREVIEW: The Utes have their work cut out for them this week as they face BYU. The Cougars are the defending men's and women's Mountain West Conference Champions. This will also be the first Mountain West competition of the season for both teams.
RECENT RESULTS: At the Colorado State Invitational, the Utah women's team placed fourth with a final score of 480.50. The men's team captured the third place position with a final score of 692.50.
Sophomore David Fleisch had a great meet at the Colorado State Invitational. He received top honors in the 200 IM, placed third in the 400 IM and fifth in the 200 back.
"David's work ethic and versatility in swimming multiple events will set the standard for the men's team this season and in the future," states Mike Litzinger.
Freshman Kristen Kaiser is taking her place among Utah's best. In her first collegiate competition at the CSU Invite, she placed first in the 400 IM and 1650 free, and had a second-place finish in the 500 free.
COMING UP: Utah will host the Oregon State women's team at the Ute Natatorium on Nov. 3 at 5:00 p.m. and Nov. 4 at 11:00 a.m.
