Women's Swim Team Falls To San Diego State

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Utah women's swim team fell to San Diego State 96-116 today bringing the Utes to a 1-4 season and 0-2 Mountain West Conference record. The loss came despite four first-place and five second-place finishes.
The Utah 400 medley relay team of Heike Kutz, Lina Borg, Erin Blundell and Heidi Hausknecht swam into the No. 1 spot. Hausknecht also won the 100 free and was second in the 200 IM. Blundell won the 200 free and was second in the 100 fly. Distance freestyle specialist Melissa Walker swam to first-place finishes in the 1000 and 500 free.
The Utes return to the pool against the University of San Diego when they compete in the San Diego Invitational Sat., Jan. 8.
