Utes Take Third Place at W.S.C. Invitational

SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah Ski Team took third place at the Western State College Invitational on Feb. 12, and 13. It was the closest Invitational of the year as only 12 points separated first and third place. Denver earned first place with 356 points, followed by Colorado at 354, and the Utes grabbed third tallying 344 points.
Leading the Utes was Frode and Rune Kollerud. Frode took first in the 10K cross country skate as Rune placed third. Hailey Wappett lead the women's cross country team with a fifth place finish in the 5K skate. Utah continues competition next week with the cross country portion of the University of Utah Invitational that had been postponed.
