Heidi Hausknecht Named WAC Swimmer of the Week

SALT LAKE CITY - Utah's Heidi Hausknecht has been named WAC Swimmer of the Week for the week of Jan.11th. Hausknecht, a junior from Salt Lake City, led the Utah women's relay teams to three first-place finishes versus Northern Arizona and nationally ranked Arizona State. Against Northern Arizona, she led the 400 medley relay team and set a Wall Aquatic Center record with a time of 4:24.75 (previously set by Northern Arizona at 4:28.98 in 1997). Hausknecht set another pool record in the 100 free with a first-place time of 59.32 (set by Kristi Miller of New Mexico in 1995). Against Arizona State, she was a member of the first-place 400 medley and 400 free relays. She was second in the 200 fly.
